The Office of Proposal Development in the Division of University Research and the Rowan University Libraries invite you to participate in a workshop focused on the basics of open scholarship. The Introduction to Open Scholarship Workshop is being presented on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Room 127 of the Chamberlain Student Center (CSC). This new and informative session will also be presented via WebEx to participants located off of the Glassboro campus.

Are you looking to make your research more widely available? Are you looking to obtain more federal, state, and foundation grants? Then this new workshop is for you! This workshop will present faculty with the basics of open scholarship. It will raise awareness of the open movement and its implications on faculty/researchers, especially as it relates to external funding agency requirements of making research output publicly available. Topics to be covered include open access, open data, reproducibility and sharing of research, and changing requirements of external funding agencies. Attendees will receive information that will help to raise awareness about open practices and perhaps consider them in managing their research data lifecycle.
