This workshop empowers researchers to use impact metrics to craft a compelling narrative about their scholarly contributions. Participants will learn to combine citation data, altmetrics, and other indicators to highlight the reach and significance of their work. The session will cover tools like Scopus and Web of Science, along with guidance on selecting and applying specific metrics to demonstrate research influence across academic and public domains.

The workshop also showcases the expert services offered by Rowan University Libraries, including support for author and article-level analyses, guidance on using journal impact factors, and insights into social and alternative metrics like Altmetrics and Kudos. Attendees will discover how to frame their research story in ways that resonate with evaluative audiences, strengthening their research profile and enhancing potential for new partnerships. By the end, participants will be equipped to use data effectively to showcase their work’s impact, making it more visible and engaging to academic peers and broader audiences alike.
