Location: Meet inside the Student Center Expansion in the lobby side facing route 322 OR explore stops along the tour route on your own!

Faculty: Dr. Sara Wright from the Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences with student interns, Dr. Joe Higgins from the Department of Music with Ensemble students, and Dr. Jen Kitson from the Departments of Art and Geography, Planning, & Sustainability with students in Smell Studio: Art, Nature, Place.

Join us for an immersive experience on Arbor Day and interact with our shared natural spaces using all of your senses! Dr. Sara Wright will lead a guided walking tour of native (and fragrant!) campus trees, with student ensembles performing nature-inspired musical pieces along the tour route. In addition to learning about trees, the tour will highlight some of Rowan’s history and art pieces. The guided tour will end at Westby Wilds, our native plant smell garden, where Smell Studio students will share plant scent-sory experiences with attendees. While the guided tour is capped at 40 attendees, any members of the Rowan community or the public are welcome to participate in a self-guided experience (map).
