Social Science Literature Reviews: A Roadmap
Faculty: Ash Lierman, Education Librarian
Researching and writing a literature review is a necessary foundation for scholarly work in the social sciences, but even for graduate students and faculty, it can be a daunting prospect. Many of us have never explicitly learned a process for the literature review, or may be developing one for the first time and struggling to know where to begin. The goal of this hands-on workshop is to break down the lit review process step by step. We will begin by clearly identifying the goals and characteristics of a well-crafted lit review, and then lay out a roadmap to get there, including reusable strategies, tools, and templates. Attendees will have opportunities to practice fundamental steps of searching, organizing, and analyzing information sources. You will also receive materials that will help you work through this process for writing projects, now or in the future.
Online workshop. Zoom link will be sent after registering.
